Co-Founders, Big Little Feelings

Kristin Gallant and Deena Margolin, LMFT, are the co-founders of Big Little Feelings, where they combine expertise in child development, mental health, and parent education to help families translate evidence-informed strategies into practical, everyday tools that foster connection, emotional regulation, and resilience.

Kristin is a mother of three whose professional work with children spans more than a decade. She studied International Affairs at George Washington University, concentrating in Global Public Health Issues with a focus on maternal and childhood education. Her work centers on making parenting strategies accessible and realistic while promoting inclusion, representation, and a judgment-free community where all families feel seen and supported.

Deena is a licensed marriage and family therapist and mother of three with extensive experience in interpersonal neurobiology and child development. She studied psychology at Bucknell University, conducted research at UCLA focused on mindfulness, anxiety regulation, and the brain, and earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from USC. She previously served as Associate Director of The Mindsight Institute, working alongside neuropsychiatrist Dr. Daniel Siegel, and has provided therapeutic support to children and families across school, clinical, and parent-child settings.

Together through Big Little Feelings, Kristin and Deena empower parents and caregivers with compassionate, practical approaches that help children and families feel understood, connected, and supported.
