Deena Margolin, LMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist whose work is dedicated to helping children grow, thrive, and reach their full potential. Her goal is to help children and families strengthen connection through compassion, develop practical coping tools, and build lasting resilience.

A mom of three, Deena studied psychology at Bucknell University before returning to Los Angeles as a research assistant at UCLA, where her work focused on mindfulness, anxiety regulation, and the brain. She later earned her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC).

Deena's extensive experience in interpersonal neurobiology and child development includes serving as Associate Director of The Mindsight Institute, where she worked alongside world-renowned neuropsychiatrist Dr. Daniel Siegel. Her clinical experience also includes working as a school counselor at Counseling Partners of Los Angeles (CPLA), facilitating toddler groups at The Play Group in Los Angeles, supporting parent-child groups at the Early Childhood Parenting Center (ECPC), and providing therapy to children and families at The Center for Mindful Living with Elisha and Stefanie Goldstein.

As co-founder of Big Little Feelings, Deena draws on her clinical expertise and extensive experience in child development to help parents translate evidence-based strategies into practical, everyday approaches that foster connection, emotional regulation, and healthy development. Her emphasis on supporting children's healthy development continues to guide both her clinical work and the methodologies behind Big Little Feelings.
