Sandra K. Loo, Ph.D., is a Professor-in-Residence in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Center for Neurobehavioral Genetics at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. She is also Director of Pediatric Neuropsychology in UCLA's Medical Psychology Assessment Center, where she specializes in the neuropsychological assessment of attention, learning, and memory in children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders, including ADHD, autism, and dyslexia.

Dr. Loo is an internationally recognized clinical psychologist and researcher whose work focuses on understanding the neurobiological mechanisms underlying ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions. As principal investigator on numerous National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded studies, her research examines the cognitive and neurophysiological foundations of ADHD, with particular emphasis on identifying electrophysiological biomarkers that can improve diagnosis, predict treatment response, and advance more personalized approaches to care.

Dr. Loo's research bridges neuroscience and clinical practice, advancing our understanding of ADHD through innovations in neuropsychological assessment, biomarkers, and emerging non-medication interventions. She has authored nearly 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications, and her work continues to translate cutting-edge research into practical, evidence-based strategies that help clinicians, educators, and families better understand and support children and adolescents with ADHD.
